Hear from some of our volunteers…

Volunteering within the Trust has been a pleasure. My role as volunteer has helped me to have a better understanding of what it is like to work in the NHS and has shown me that a career in the NHS is right for me. I have worked with many wonderful people and it has been amazing to see the effects of the services and care given to the community.” Priya – Speech and Language Therapy Service

For me it is the feeling of making a difference supporting a team working in a busy and sometimes challenging environment. It gives me structure to those two days a week. Retirement is great but it is also nice to give something back and good to know you have the support of the Trust at all times.” Shelagh – 0-19 Service

I enjoy volunteering at St Catherine’s Health Centre as I enjoy giving something back to all the people who helped me. All the team look after me very well and we have a lot of banter!! The additional interaction with other people also helps.”

I think it’s incredible, learning about everyone’s story and their backgrounds really is quite fascinating and is truly inspiring when you learn how far they’ve come.”
