Thinking of quitting smoking? Stoptober is a good time to share your experiences
Uncategorized - 16 October 2025
October is Stoptober – the national campaign encouraging smokers to quit for 28 days, with the aim of stopping for good. Research shows that if you can stop smoking for 28 days, you’re five times more likely to give up permanently.
In Wirral, local stop smoking support has been commissioned to provide free help for anyone living or working in the borough, or registered with a Wirral GP. This can include:
- Nicotine replacement products and other medications
- One-to-one sessions, group support and telephone advice
- Drop-in clinics across Wirral
- Guidance on using e-cigarettes as part of a quitting plan
Healthwatch Wirral gathers feedback on health and care services across the borough. If you have used stop smoking services locally, your experiences can help us understand what works well and where improvements are needed.
To share feedback, you can visit our Feedback Centre at https://speakout.healthwatchwirral.co.uk/. You can also contact us on 0151 230 8957 or email [email protected].
