Healthwatch Wirral Survey – ADHD/ASC Diagnosis-Referral
Engagement News - 20 May 2024
Over the last few years there has been a significant increase in referrals for assessments relating to Neurodiversity which has impacted on waiting times and access to services. Healthwatch have been listening to you and recognise the impact this has on people’s lives.
We have produced a small snapshot this year on ADHD and PTSD. We continue to work with Wirral health and Social Care amplifying the voices of our residents to inform and influence.
Healthwatch Wirral are keen to learn more about why more people are seeking an assessment, as an adult. And what has been happening for them while they are waiting. It is also important to understand what difference a diagnosis can have.
This survey is for people with, or who are seeking a diagnosis & support relation to:
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) also known as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
This survey has been codesigned with people with Lived Experience, Wirral ADHD Adults Support Group and Sole Survivor CIC.
We also welcome responses from Carers and family members.
You can really help! Share the survey and/or complete it yourself.
Healthwatch Wirral will act, report & share all you tell us. The information you provide will ensure that your views are heard & considered by those people who design and deliver health services, systems and processes across Wirral, Cheshire, and Merseyside.
