The roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccination has started and our local NHS needs your help. Primary Care Wirral is working with Wirral Council and Community Action Wirral to find local volunteers who can support the COVID-19 vaccination campaign. This is the largest mass vaccination campaign in our lifetimes and support from the local community is vital.

Can you help?

Local volunteers are needed to help with stewarding and signposting to make the process as smooth and quick as possible.

Primary Care Wirral is also looking for medical and nursing students and retired clinical staff who can assist with the delivery of the vaccine.

With an increasing volume of patients and the requirement to receive two doses to complete the vaccination, “the support of local volunteers will be crucial during the coming months”, said Natalie Young-Calvert, PCW’s Chief Officer.

“Our neighbours have demonstrated their generosity and willingness to help during the pandemic by volunteering, supporting vulnerable people in isolation and donating or building protective equipment.

“The Covid-19 Vaccination Programme is one of the most important moments in the history of NHS Primary Care services in Wirral and we know the people of Wirral will make it a success”.
