Red Rocks Nursing Home (Hoylake) is not only celebrating its own 70th anniversary, as is the NHS, it was also shortlisted once again, in the Caring UK Awards held on 6th December at Leicester ‘s grand Athena venue.
These prestigious awards are now in their second year and were sponsored on this occasion by Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank and many other industry sponsors. Hosted by broadcaster and journalist, Christa Ackroyd, Red Rocks were delighted to have fought off stiff competition to become outright winners of “End of Life Care Team of the Year 2018”.
The awards consisted of twenty different nomination categories from submissions across England, Wales, Scotland, IOM and the Channel Islands.
Red Rocks owner, Mike Vaughan, said he was immensely proud of each and every member of the Red Rocks team. Consistency of care is at the heart of what we do, and our current team of 49 boast an impressive combined lifetime of service at Red Rocks alone, of 375 years.
This award underlines our efforts to always strive for the best, and compliments and strengthens our accreditation of PLATINUM Beacon status in the Gold Standards Framework (GSF), the only home on the Wirral to hold such an accolade”.
