Urgent Care opening hours over Christmas

Wirral residents are asked to keep A&E free for emergencies this winter and to avoid long waits by visiting an Urgent Treatment or Walk-in Centre for non-emergency medical issues.

Conditions that can be treated at Urgent Treatment Centres include:
• Infections
• Rashes
• Burns
• Strains
• Ear ache
• Cold symptoms
• Minor cuts, wounds and wound dressing
• Women and men’s health problems
• And other minor injuries/illness

There are multiple walk-in centres open over the Christmas period on the Wirral:

  • Eastham Walk-in Centre – Birkenhead CH62 9AN
    Monday – Sunday 12pm – 8pm (including Bank Holidays
    excluding Christmas Day)
  • Victoria Central Walk-in Centre, Wallasey, CH44 5UF
    Monday – Sunday 8am – 8pm (including Bank Holidays)
    Xray facilities: 8am – 7.20pm
  • Urgent Treatment Centre, Arrowe Park Hospital, CH49 5PE
    Monday – Sunday 8am – 10pm (including Bank Holidays)
    Wirral Walk-in Centres (pre-bookable 111 and walk in)
  • Miriam Medical Centre: Minor Injury and Illness Service, CH41 8DB
    Monday – Sunday 8am – 8pm
