Jun 29, 2022 | Look After Yourself, News, Newsletter

To support the development of a cross government mental health strategy, the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has published a discussion paper to start a national conversation about mental health.

The full discussion paper can be found at https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/mental-health-and-wellbeing-plan-discussion-paper-and-call-for-evidence

There is also an easy read version available: https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/mental-health-and-wellbeing-plan-call-for-evidence-easy-read

The online consultation will run until 11.45pm on 7th July 2022 at: https://consultations.dhsc.gov.uk/623ac367ea9bcd4c024d6df9

The DHSC are particularly keen to hear from:

  • People who have experienced mental ill health themselves
  • People who have cared for, or supported, others with mental ill health
  • People with views on how we can:
o better support people to stay in good mental health,
o best prevent the onset of mental ill health and,
    o promote positive mental wellbeing.
