If you or someone close to you has cancer you may find yourself overwhelmed with questions; questions about practical issues and treatment; about stress and how to cope; about how to find your way through the maze of information available and what you should ask your medical team. Maggie’s Merseyside is here for you.
Maggie’s Centres are places within the hospital grounds that offer practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends, free of charge and with no referral required.
Our thoughtfully designed Centres are warm and welcoming spaces with professional staff on hand to help you find the support you need, from advice about benefits and eating well to one-to-one support and courses in relaxation.
Maggie’s is a friendly place to meet other people; a calming space where you can sit quietly with a cup of tea; somewhere for anyone with any type of cancer. There’s no need to make an appointment, you can simply drop in whenever ou want for as long as you want, before, during and after treatment.
