Healthwatch Wirral – April Community Engagement update

Apr 27, 2022 | News, Newsletter

Healthwatch Wirral staff continue to visit services across the Wirral to reintroduce ourselves and gain insight into patient and staff experiences.

We have visited multiple care and nursing homes, speaking to staff and residents about the challenges they may be facing at this stage of the pandemic. Thank you to all local homes who have welcomed us and shared their experiences.

We are finalising a report based on our experiences working with a domiciliary care agency to observe the home care they provide and speaking to clients and staff. The final report will be published on our website under the ‘Reports’ section.

In addition to monthly BRIDGE Forums with Patient Participation Groups and the third sector, we are working in partnership with a local Carers group and plan to offer a specific BRIDGE Forum to discuss carers’ issues.

We have been out and about in the community at GP practices, nurseries, coffee shops and other community venues to #Spare5, share information about health and social care services on the Wirral and to hear what is important to local people. Keep an eye out for us to share your feedback about the services you use and pick up some free #Spare5 goodies!

Have your say

Please #Spare5 to give us feedback of your experiences of health and social care in Wirral. Our Feedback Centre is free and easy to use – just search for a service and answer a few questions about your experience.
