COVID-19 brought about unprecedented feelings and thoughts in most of us. It was very quickly understood that the most vulnerable in our communities – those who were ‘shielding’, and the people caring for them – might struggle with issues other than their physical health. Financial worries and family worries would become paramount and, combined with a state of anxiety and loneliness, it was clear that messages should be clear, concise, supportive and ultimately helpful.
