COVID-19 vaccination programme for 12-15 year-olds

Oct 12, 2021 | COVID-19, News, Newsletter

The national COVID-19 vaccination programme for 12-15 year-olds has now started. In Wirral this will be delivered by the 0-19 immunisation teams in schools.

As with all other school immunisations, letters will be sent to parents and carers via the schools to seek consent. This will be done electronically using e-consent via the Trust’s website.

Further information including leaflets for young people and their parents/carers are available on the WCHC website: https://www.wchc.nhs.uk/children-young-people/parents-carers/parents-of-school-aged-children-and-young-people/immunisations/

Media coverage has attracted the attention of anti-vaxxers online. If you are the parent or carer of a school age child, WCHC recommends reminding them not to speak to people they don’t know if they are unaccompanied, and not to accept anything that is offered to them e.g. a leaflet.
