Community Champions Launched

Sep 7, 2020 | COVID-19, News

Today, the “Community Champions” network has been launched. It is hoped that it will quickly become an effective way to communicate the latest information regarding Covid-19 to residents, businesses and the many varied community groups in Wirral.

The Community Champions will help to build on the collective goodwill that has grown from the early response to the pandemic and Wirral Council are been keen to ensure the network is developed as quickly as possible to harness that goodwill.

COVID-19, and the measures taken in response, continue to impact us all and the Community Champions network will provide a direct way to communicate the latest advice and support. Upon sign up, Champions will receive regular updates from the public health team and other parts of the Council as well as signposting information from other partners to ensure that all sectors and groups in Wirral are included.

By having and sharing clear information, we can help our loved ones, work colleagues and our community make informed choices.

We encourage you to sign up and promote the Community Champions throughout your own extensive networks. The web address and link to the sign-up form are at the bottom of this email. There is also an electronic postcard invite you can share with your own networks and an email signature for you to use to encourage as many people as possible to sign up.

We will be proactively promoting the Community Champions over the coming weeks as we continue to work together to stop the spread of coronavirus and Keep Wirral Well.
