Healthwatch Wirral Training & Developments
News - 01 November 2023
Healthwatch is a statutory service that influences how Health & Social Care services work in our area.
Healthwatch has the legal power to visit health & social care services to see what is working well and identify any areas for improvement. The evidence collected is used to make people’s experiences better.
To do this, skilled and dedicated volunteers & Authorised Representatives are key.
On 26th October Healthwatch Wirral Staff and Volunteers held a Development Day to refresh on the Enter & View process, developments, and plans for the future. We also tested out the Bronze Care Navigation Training which is to be rolled out to Moreton & Meols PCN (Primary Care Network) and Brighter Birkenhead PCN.
The Care Navigation Training is to support empowerment and choice for patients & Carers. The Training also aims to help Care Navigation Staff within GP Practices to understand more about the clinical and non-clinical support that is available within our communities. The Development Day was a success and evaluations evidenced that it was an effective and fun day.
